A research team at the Disney Research Studio and Zurich University of Technology developed an algorithm that automatically replaces the face of a person in images and videos with the face of another person. According to this, it is possible to output high-definition replacement results in megapixel resolution just like photos in real time.
After detecting the target person’s face, the research team put it in a 1024-pixel square resolution and replaced it with another face made in the same way. Accordingly, it was possible to freely replace the face. It also includes technology that increases precision rather than simply changing the face. For example, target areas such as eyes and lips can be stabilized. Related information can be found here .
