Android version of airdrop’Nearby Sharing’ beta released

Nearby Sharing, a new feature being developed by Google for Android devices, is a service that lets you share files offline between Android devices without consuming mobile communication capacity. It is said that such a nearby sharing bettor has begun to be released to some users from June 30 (local time).

Nearby sharing is easy to think of as a service similar to Apple’s AirDrop. You can share not only photos and videos, but also URLs. A nearby sharing icon is displayed in the Android device file sharing list, and a screen prompting you to select the nearby sharing appears when using it for the first time. Selecting Turn on turns on nearby sharing. In addition, device visibility can be set. The sharing range is all contacts, some contacts, and 3 hidden contacts. If the file is sent by someone who does not know the contact, a screen appears asking you to choose whether to approve the receipt of the file from the unknown user. Tap Accept to receive files from users who don’t know their contacts.

Google said that it is in beta testing a new nearby sharing feature that will share more information in the future, and its goal is to announce a feature that supports Android 6 or higher devices and platforms. Related information can be found here .

I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
