
Brave Software announced that the number of monthly active users of Brave, an open source web browser with ad blocking as standard, has exceeded 15 million.
According to this, Brave’s monthly active users reached 15.4 million in May 2020. This is a 50% increase since the release of version 1.0 in November last year. The number of active users per day increased from 2 million a year ago to 5.3 million. All of the daily and monthly active users showed a sharp rise.
In addition, Brave has been equipped with Brave Ads since April 2019, which distributes advertising revenue displayed instead of blocked ads to users, websites, and Brave advertising agencies. Brave Ad has been running 1,530 campaigns since its inception. This is an increase of 255% from October 2019, just after Brave Add started. Brave Ad also has a CTR of 9%, 7% higher than the industry average of 2%, and some brands show a figure of 15%.
Brave Ad is supported in 183 countries, and in addition to companies that have previously joined such as Amazon, Intel, Logitech, and Evernote, Verizon and PayPal also participated. In addition, an increasing number of authorized content creators receive revenue from Brave by users of platforms such as YouTube, Twitter, Twitch, Vimeo and GitHub.
