Translucent Macintosh Classic prototype?

An image of a Macintosh classic prototype with a translucent case was posted on Twitter. The Macintosh Classic is a product that followed the design of the first model in the late 1990s while restraining it at an affordable price. The final product uses beige plastic, but it is covered with a translucent case that I have never seen before.

Thanks to this, you can look at internal parts such as a 9-inch CRT monitor and floppy drive, and you can also check how much space is inside the case. More details about this image are not clear, but it is known that Newton and Macintosh Portable were also made in translucent cases. Prototypes with such a transparent case are rare and tend to be expensive when placed at auction.

A Twitter user who shared the photo (DongleBookPro) uploaded photos of unpublished Apple products and prototypes. In August, the first iPhone prototype, iPod nano dock, and Mac mini prototype were uploaded. Related information can be found here .
