Google announced on October 8 (local time) that it was possible to operate Android smartphone apps in Google Assistant. But now it is only available in English.
Until now, the Google Assistant on the Android smartphone has been able to open the application by giving instructions such as “Hey Google, open Twitter.” However, with this, it is now possible to instruct application tasks such as “Hey Google, find the news on Twitter” or “Find the blanket on Essie”.
However, not all applications can use it. Currently, only the top 30 apps on Google Play in the US are available. Google plans to support more applications in the future.
Not only that, it is also possible to create shortcuts to commands used to work with these applications. For example, if you adjust automatic laces tightening in the Nike Adapt app, you can register a short phrase (eg Hey Google, lace it) instead of the “Hey Google, tighten my shoes with Nike Adapt” command.
