Google announced that it will integrate Backup and Sync, a backup application for PCs currently being distributed, into the Google Drive for desktop application within this year.
Until now, Google has provided Backup & Sync to Google Drive as a backup method for end users and Drive File Stream to business. However, it is also true that the tool was divided into two, which caused confusion for administrators and users.
To improve this phenomenon, Google first changed the name of Drive File Stream to Google Drive for Desktop at the end of January. The name of this change is changed from the user’s side, but there is no change in functionality. You can still use the ability to upload videos or photos to Google Photos. Google Drive will undergo changes from June 1, including Google Documents being included in the storage capacity. Related information can be found here .
