TikTok announced the introduction of a feature that prompts reconsideration of content posted on March 10 (local time) when the creator side has fine-grained control of comments or posts in inappropriate comments.
First, all comments are hidden until the creator approves it. Only those that have been checked and approved by the creator are displayed. Until now, there was a function to filter by keyword, etc., but it is an enlarged form.
Another feature that prompts you to reconsider comments is to prompt you to review the content when you try to post a post that contains inappropriate or unkind comments. It was notified that the content to be posted may violate the community guidelines, and the comment can be edited again.
Similar features are being introduced on Instagram, and Twitter has been tested before. In addition, since the end of last year, TikTok has been reinforcing efforts to protect personal information and bullying, and in November 2020, it introduced new personal information settings, such as restricting opinions for teenage users to friends. Also, in December, the community guidelines were updated to reinforce the content of bullying and harassment. Related information can be found here.
