Google has rolled out heart rate and respiratory rate measurements using smartphone cameras for the fitness app Google Fit.
This feature, released in February, lets you first look at your bust-up on your smartphone and measure your breathing rate from your body movements. Also, if you put your finger on the rear camera, you can see the heart rate from small changes in the new image.
Originally, such respiration rate and heart rate were generally measured with a smart band and a smart watch. However, if both data can be measured with only a smartphone, the user can register medical data on the smartphone without any burden.
Heart rate and respiration measurements are currently only being transmitted for the Pixel Series. However, Google said it is planning to expand it to other Android smartphones as well. Regardless of whether it is possible to accurately measure at the level of a dedicated device, it can be said that it is a useful function if you want to know the heart rate a little when taking a walk or not.
