Reshuffle, an integrated platform for developing apps by combining existing apps, has been acquired by Twitter.
Reshuffle is a platform that allows applications to be developed in full stack without backend knowledge. The application can be developed by simply downloading it when the user is satisfied while rewriting it using React in the application program source code that can use the template.
As for the reason for the acquisition of Reshuffle, Twitter said Twitter is supporting millions of developers through its API, and the platform has a developer community that will bring incredible value and innovation. It emphasized that developers have been creating a faster and easier way to grow with them. In order to accelerate this effort, it explained that Reshuffle was acquired by Twitter.
With the acquisition by Twitter, the Reshuffle development team will join the Twitter Developer Platform team. In the future, the Reshuffle development team will focus on key aspects of product engineering developers and interactions, efficiently supporting a diverse and innovative developer ecosystem, and building a new Twitter API.
Since the launch of Twitter API v2, a new API for third parties in August 2020, Twitter has been providing new features to developer needs in a more flexible and extensible way. Therefore, developers can newly treat hidden replies or tweet comments that can analyze tweets on Twitter as APIs.
The acquisition will terminate the commercial version of Reshuffle, but it will provide an open source version for the developer community. Related information can be found here.
