Samsung Electronics released iTest , a web application that lets you experience Galaxy UI and applications on the iPhone.
It allows you to experience the UI and some applications adopted in Galaxy devices on the iPhone as well. When you read the QR code with the iPhone camera, the page is displayed, and you can tap the icon located at the bottom of the screen. When you tap Add Home Screen, the Samsung iTest icon is added to the home screen. Press this to change to the Galaxy-style UI. Here you can test out the Galaxy UI and some apps. You can experience the Galaxy Themes, health care apps, and Samsung Health that can change the message app or UI theme. However, some other apps cannot be tested by tapping them.
In addition, when you tap the search box on the home screen, the Google search page for the Galaxy S21 is displayed. ITest is a web application that Samsung Electronics New Zealand uses for promotional activities. Related information can be found here.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics announced the Galaxy SmartTag +, an anti-lost tag, to overseas markets. It follows the Galaxy SmartTag, which is an anti-lost tag using Bluetooth, announced by Samsung Electronics in January, and the difference from existing products is that it is possible to use not only Bluetooth but also ultra-wideband communication UWB that enables spatial positioning.
On the actual search screen, AR Finder through augmented reality shows how far the tag is and in which direction it is. It also makes a loud noise when approaching the tag location, allowing you to quickly find it. To use this function, you need a supported smartphone such as Galaxy S21+ or Ultra that can use UWB.
Of course, like the Bluetooth version of the Galaxy Smart Tag, the detection function SmartThings Find is also possible, and the location of the lost tag can be displayed on the map. We’ve also implemented a cloud search feature that lets you know when someone else finds your missing tag. At this time, the communication is encrypted, and the location information is not known unless the owner of the tag. In addition, it is possible to operate smart home devices by long pressing the tag button.
The Galaxy Smart Tag+ will be released overseas starting April 16 and will be priced at $39.99. Related information can be found here.
