The 64-bit version of OneDrive for Windows has been released as a public preview. Of course, it may be more surprising that 64 bits have not been supported.
Windows 64-bit was announced in the early 2000s. Many apps already support 64-bit, but OneDrive released in 2007 only had a 32-bit version so far. It’s a public preview, but now the 64-bit transition has only begun. Microsoft says the 64-bit version is a good choice if you’re changing large files or a lot of files.
However, it is limited to the case of installing an x64-based processor that can be installed and using a 64-bit version of the operating system. As it cannot be used on the ARM64 Surface Pro X, etc., you must continue to use the 32-bit version.
