Moorebot SCOUT is a home security robot with an omni wheel that allows the Moorbot, which makes the introduced AI-embedded home robot, to move back and forth, left and right without changing direction.
The robot is equipped with an AI algorithm and 1080p full HD camera, and supports autonomous driving that can control voice using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, and transmit video to a TV or monitor.
Although the MoorBot Scout is small, it has a 1.2GHz quad-core ARM CPU, 1GB of DDR memory and 4GB of flash memory. In addition, it includes a SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) function that estimates its location and creates an environment map at the same time, and can recognize individuals or pets through various sensors and map them in the home. It is also possible to talk to your pet even if you are far away through the voice function. Not only that, but also the charging process is carried out by returning to the docking station by itself.
What is unique is not limited to monitoring in the home, it can also be used as a STEM textbook to help children program with the block-based programming language Scratch. It is open source, so a programmer can develop and implement new functions. If possible, a 3D printer can be used to incorporate arm or disinfectant dispenser. In addition, you can play with C and C++ to bring the red ball.
The Moorbot Scout is priced at $179. Related information can be found here.
