MediaTek announced the Dimension 900, a middle-high class mobile SoC.
Dimension 900 is a processor using 6nm manufacturing process. It supports 5G communication and Wi-Fi 6, supports a 120Hz full HD+ display and a 108 million pixel camera. Inside, six ARM Cortex-A55s running at up to 2GHz were installed, and the GPU was equipped with four Mali G68s. It corresponds to LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 storage.
This product can also record 4K HDR video and simultaneously record 4 cameras, and can convert SDR to HDR+ in real time. It also supports an AI camera function that supports taking pictures. For communication functions, it provides dual SIM 5G band, 5G SA/NSA network, and dual SIM VoNR voice service.
Smartphones equipped with Dimension City 900 will be introduced in the second quarter. It is MediaTek, which has recently partnered with Nvidia to develop notebooks as well as high-end SoCs, Dimension 1200 and 1100, but is also busy with introducing products to the mid-range market, which is its main field.
