Tim Berners-Lee, who is called the creator of the web, announced that it would auction the world’s first web browser, WWW (WorldWideWeb), including timestamp files including the source code, through NFT.
This Changed Everything (NFT) is a visualization of 10,000 lines of code in the original timestamp file including the source code written by Berners-Lee. It consists of Berners-Lee’s commentary on the code and the creation process, and a set of four digital posters of the code created in the original file using Python.
Berners-Lee says NFT is the newest technology in the field, be it artwork or digital art, and is the most appropriate way to own it, making it an ideal way to package the origins of the web. The auction will take place from 23 to 30 June at Sodney’s London offices, with a starting price of $1,000. Proceeds are awarded to businesses supported by Berners-Lee and his wife.
