Yelp allows store listings to indicate vaccination needs

Review service Yelp announced on August 5 that it will be able to add whether all support requiring vaccinations have been vaccinated in store information, including restaurants. Yelp users can condition and filter these new labels.

In New York, the US announced that it would be mandatory to present a certificate of vaccination when using indoor facilities such as restaurants, gyms, theaters, and movie theaters because of the spread of the delta mutation infection. The same movement is spreading mainly in Europe, so it may be possible to prevent a problem that you did not have, although it is necessary to present a vaccination certificate in order to know whether information from the store is required in advance.

In addition, publishing such vaccine-related information may lead to harsh reviews of various opinions, including pros and cons. In response, Yelp is said to be actively taking protective measures. When Yelp sees symptoms of rough reviews that have nothing to do with the nature of the business, it issues an alert for unusual activity, temporarily dismisses content, and monitors the situation. Since 2021, more than 100 warnings have been issued and nearly 4,500 reviews have been deleted. Related information can be found here.
