Instagram starts offering link stickers to all users

Instagram has announced that Link Stickers, a link feature that can be used in Stories, will be made available to all users.

Link stickers were introduced on August 30th as a function to replace the swipe-up links that have been available in stories so far. Until now, the conditions of use were limited, such as an account that has been authenticated or the number of followers must be 10,000 or more, but in the future, it will be available to all users regardless of the number of followers.

Link stickers function in the same way as other stickers, and the ability to add links anywhere in the story. On the one hand, it’s difficult for viewers to understand what the link target is, but Instagram is trying to customize the sticker to make it clear what’s displayed when a link is tapped. Also, although it is available to all users, new accounts, accounts that repeatedly share hate speech or misinformation, or accounts that post content that violates the community guidelines will disappear even if you use the link sticker.
