The Stella Vita is a solar car built by a research team at the Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. The vehicle achieved a driving distance of 2,896 km from the school to the southern tip of Spain in one month using solar power alone. Departure on September 19th and arrival on October 17th. From Eindhoven, through major cities such as Brussels in Belgium, Paris and Bordeaux in France, and Madrid in Spain, they were welcomed from all over.
During overnight stays, the interior walls rise and extend the solar panels. However, it has properly acquired license plates and meets safety standards so that it can be driven anywhere in Europe. However, there were concerns about driving on highways and mountain roads.
It has a top speed of 120 km/h and a normal mileage of 600 km, and on sunny days it can run up to 730 km. The length is 7.2m and the width is 2.05m. When transformed into a camper, the width is 4.4m and the height is 1.83m to 2.54m. There are facilities for two people to lead a normal life in the car, such as cooking, washing, and watching TV, but the entire energy is supplied by solar power.
It took a year and a half to develop. It is said that the design was completely considered from the beginning as a team of 22 people. The development team hopes to impact the market and society now as Stellar Vita accelerates a more sustainable future from a mobility and energy perspective. Related information can be found here.
