Microsoft Edge to support pre-purchase and post-payment functions

BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) function has been implemented in Microsoft Edge, a Microsoft web browser that adopts Chromium, a rendering engine similar to Google Chrome.

BNPL was announced as a new feature of Microsoft Edge at the Microsoft Technology Forum on November 15th. This feature allows buyers to pay for their purchases in equal installments, and in most cases interest-free installments.

Normally BNPL functionality is only available on select e-commerce sites such as Target and Walmart, but Microsoft has partnered with third-party payment service Zip to give you the option to use BNPL on any site using Microsoft Edge.

Microsoft’s BNPL option allows you to enter your credit card number on a website’s payment page, and on some websites, the BNPL option appears as soon as you go to the payment page. Usually, if you use the Home BNPL option, you will need to log into your Home account each time you make a payment.

The Microsoft Edge BNPL option is currently only available on the Canary and Dev channels, the developer versions of Microsoft Edge, but after version 96, it will be available by default to all users. Related information can be found here.
