Vice president Valdis Dombrovskis, EC executive committee (EC), said at the Ecofin meeting in Vienna that cryptographic assets will continue to grow despite recent turbulence.
The European Commission is focusing on the development and classification of cryptographic assets this year in order to address key issues centering on cryptography. Dombroskiss added that he would also consider whether it is necessary to enforce existing EU financial regulations or to create new rules.
The European Commission is already working with European supervisory authorities to develop a cryptographic asset regulatory scheme to establish a cryptographic position. Dom Broskis, vice chairman of the ICO, noted special attention to the ICO in the form of alternative finance, but pointed out that ICO funded $ 6 billion last year. He emphasized that this figure is likely to expand this year. He heard the lack of transparency as a problem in this area. Investor protection, market integrity, money laundering, fraud and hacking are the main risks of cryptography. For more information, please click here .
