Taiwan’s government to enforce ICO regulations by next June?

The Taiwanese government is expected to announce ICO regulations by June next year. Wellington Koo, the head of the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) of the Taiwan Financial Supervisory Commission, said in a report by the local English newspaper Taipei Times on October 23,

โ€œThe more we regulate, the slower the new economic activity will be,โ€ he said. Countries are struggling to prevent fraud damage from ICOs around the world. This is why China and Korea are prohibited from ICO. Of course, there is a debate about ICO acceptance in Korea. Taiwan did not regulate passwords and ICOs last October, but it said in April this year that authorities will regulate the cryptographic industry using existing money-laundering methods.
