LEONARDO (LEONARD, Aerial Robotic DrOne) is a bipedal robot that can propel the air like a dron with a propeller.
The robot, developed by the California Institute of Technology research team, is 76 cm long and 50 cm long. There are two joints corresponding to the hip joints on each side, so that two skeletons can be driven independently and crossed to move the legs freely.
Leonardo uses a carbon fiber material that weighs only 2.7kg. It is a walking robot, but even if it falls, it can be launched immediately by using a propeller. The robot is supposed to be active in an outer space like Mars in the future. Because it can be more comfortable on the lower gravity side. For more information, please click here .
