Microsoft has released a Minecraft teaser video. It is not an official announcement but a teaser, but you can see that it is an app or mode that uses augmented reality to display a Minecraft block or character as standing in front of a smartphone screen.
Looking at what Microsoft has released, What’s Minecraft up to? Shows a middle-aged man looking at something over a smartphone on a street bench. I was surprised to watch the clock and accidentally took the woman’s smartphone that was next to her and forgot her smartphone. The woman sitting next to her found out that she had lost her phone and was trying to chase her owner, but she was late. However, the mine craft block that appears to be in front of you is actually in front of you. You can also see characters from outside the world of MineCraft. A little later, the man returns and gets his phone back. This is a depiction of a developer who accidentally uncovered something that was not released as a lost smartphone.
The Minecraft screenshots in the video are quite different from the mobile versions already available. The same with characters. It seems that it is not simply a 3D model viewer or shooting mode by placing an item column at the bottom, but it does not know whether AR mode is completely new or not yet.
Perhaps the game is expected to emerge as an AR version during the Minecon Earth live streaming event on May 17th. For more information, please click here.
