Microsoft has announced the Azure Blockchain service, a management service that can simplify the creation and management of a personal block-chain network in a consortium of its cloud platform Azure.
According to Microsoft, the new BaaS, a pre-configured network of block chains as a service, allows developers to focus on building block-chain-based applications and services. Arthur CTO Mark Rushinovic can simplify the formation and operation of a consortium-type block-chain network. He also explained that developers can do basic tasks such as creating a consortium-like network and adding new members with just a few clicks.
He introduced Quorum as a platform that can be managed through Azure Block Chain Services. Quorum is an Ethernet based financial smart contract platform developed and supported by JP Morgan as open source software. He said he chose the quorum because he has the largest block-chain developer community in the world and he is based on the popular Etherium. Also on this blog, Lucy Novi also suggested the possibility of supporting Corda, the distributive led technology of PinTech R3, in Azure Block Chain Service. For more information, please click here .
