Boston Dynamics announced that it plans to release Spot, a four-legged walking robot during Amazon’s 2019 (Amazon re: MARS 2019) event in the second half of this year.
Boston Dynamics has announced atlas and handheld robots, but it is actually the first robot to market. The spot is a quadruped robot that looks like a dog. Unstable terrain, such as mountain trails, can be moved while maintaining balance. Marc Raibert, CEO of Boston Dynamics, said the spot has entered the proof phase and is scheduled for release later this year, although the official release date is still to be determined.

A lot of robots are already being used in places like factories. However, these robots can only move in advance calculated to the millimeter unit.
