LightSail 2, which is being developed by Planetary Society proposed by Carl Sagan, will conduct a second announcement test on June 24th.
Although it was described as a sailboat, it was conceived to realize the interplanetary navigation by obtaining the propulsion force by receiving the solar photon as a giant kite. LightSeal 2, which is scheduled to launch this time, will test whether it is actually capable of ground control flight on the ground.
Solar sails and solar sails have recently been supported by Dr. Stephen Hawking as the ideal vehicle for sending probe to the Alpha Centauri since Carl Sagan presented the concept decades ago.
In 2015, the first solar sales-mounted test light sale was put on the low earth orbit. At this time, however, the photon-based probe was actually proved to be capable of space flight, but the real purpose of deploying the sail was achieved.
The launch is aimed at trying to control the bombs that were found at the time of launch in 2015, such as turning the light sale on the earth orbit to control the bomb. In the future, it is the goal of the planetary association that it will be able to mount and propel several satellites that have a combination of several cubes as a reference component.
Space X’s Falcon Heavy Rocket with Light Sale 2 will be launched on June 24. Falcon Heavy Rocket is also the first night shot. For more information, please click here .
