According to an annual report released by the French Financial Markets Authority’s AMF, the number of cryptocurrency-related fraud counseling has soared more than 145 times from 2016 to 2018.
According to this, the number of cryptocurrency-related fraud consultations was only 18 in 2016, but in 2018, it increased to more than 2,625. In contrast, the number of online fraud-related consultations in other industries, such as foreign exchange and binary options, declined significantly. It is explained that the number of cases dropped sharply from 3,768 in 2016 to 968 in 2018.
