Spanish photographer Jacint Roger analyzes the image and reveals the appearance of a celestial body derived from the comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko wrapped like a moon, drawing attention.
This celestial body is called the Churymoon because it surrounds Comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko like a satellite. However, rather than the moon, it feels like a child born from a comet and trying hard not to fall away from his mother.
Comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko is known to have been targeted by the European Space Agency’s ESA rover, Rosetta, launched in 2004. In 2014, Rosetta succeeded in orbiting the lander Fillet for the first time in the world to land on this comet. Since then, Rosetta travels through space with comets and sends images of comets to Earth.
In fact, comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko itself is a strange celestial body. It looks like a distorted snowman, as if two blocks of rock slowly approach and merge in different directions. The large chunk is 4km and the small one is 2.5km. It orbits the Sun in an extreme elliptical orbit, approaching Earth and Jupiter orbits in the middle.
Comets are small bodies of ice and rocks. When it approaches the sun, the gas and dust melted by the heat are released, forming a frame. The so-called comet’s tail is created when this frame is affected by the solar wind. In the summer of 2015, a frame began to appear on comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko, which was approaching the sun while Rosetta was watching. On the 21st of October of the same year, a 4m piece was broken and blown away by mixing with the gas and dust emitted. This was the birth of the moon, the son of a comet known to the world.
The ESA research team is looking at the shape and size of all mysteries, and the movement after derivation. After being separated from the comet, it is to examine whether it will change or not change under the influence of the comet. In the case of comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko, organic substances suggesting the presence of microorganisms were detected, and it is also a part of concern about the process and composition of the mystery statement to confirm the presence of molecular oxygen.
