Microsoft announced the latest version of the 18970 (20H1) through the Insider Preview Fast ring, which pre-releases the Windows 10 developer build.
Until now, Windows was basically installed using a physical medium or a local copy on the machine. However, this build can be installed directly from the cloud. It’s a different feature from the one that was only available on some PCs such as the Surface.
When you reinstall the preview version of Windows 10 Insider, you can select the download item in the message that prompts you to choose how to reinstall Windows. To install the operating system from the cloud is a fast internet environment, there is no need to prepare installation media or create an installation image from a USB stick on another device. It’s already a feature available in the Apple Mac series.
However, if you use the Windows installation option in Microsoft Cloud, all existing apps and data will be deleted. As Insider Preview is not a product version, it is highly possible that it contains unexpected defects. It’s hard to say that the PC you want to install in the cloud will become unavailable or that the worst will not happen.
