It turns out that there are many American companies that are lobbying for cryptocurrency.
More than half of fintech-related companies lobbying in the first quarter of this year in the United States were lobbying related to cryptocurrency blockchain. It is reported that it spent more than half, or 42 million dollars, of the total amount of the fintech industry lobby.
Traditional companies such as IBM, accounting firm EY, Accenture, and Mastercard were listed as lobbying companies, as well as Coinbase and Ripple in the cryptocurrency industry. One of the problems these companies appeal to regulators for improvement is taxation. The U.S. tax administration has not issued tax-related guidelines, so investors have to guess which will be the right answer.
There is also lobbying to support a bill that Republican Congressman Warren Davidson of Ohio launches to remove digital assets, including cryptocurrencies, from US securities laws. Related information can be found here .
