On July 30, Taiwan MediaTeK announced the Helio G90 and G90T, which are specialized for gaming smartphones.
Both the G90 and G90T use an octa-core configuration that combines the Cortex-A76 and A55. The GPU uses Mali-G76, which is adopted for high-end SoCs such as Kirin 980 and Exynos 9820, and supports LPDDR4x memory, which is expandable up to 10 GB. The modem is a Category 12 4G LTE modem and does not have a 5G modem. A single camera supports 64 million, and a dual configuration supports 24 million and 16 million pixels.
In the case of AI, these products also have the ability to start Google Assistant and Alexa. In addition, it responds to a smartphone game performance enhancement technology, which MediaTek calls HyperEngine.
The hyper engine is a combination of several technologies. When the Wi-Fi quality deteriorates, the LTE connection is automatically used as a backup, and the Wi-Fi can be connected to both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands or two routers simultaneously. It also has a visual engine that supports the HDR10 standard.
These products can be said to be aimed at a terminal with excellent game performance while controlling the price rather than a high-end model.
