The augmented reality guidance function in Google Maps is already available on Pixel smartphones. But now it can be used on other Android smartphones or iPhones.
The Google Map AR guidance function serves to guide you in which direction to go by displaying an arrow when you see the actual landscape through the camera. For example, this can be useful when you do not know the same direction as when you got off the bus when you arrived at the station.
This feature was so far only available on the Pixel as an alpha version. However, in the future, the beta version will be updated for several weeks and will be available on Android smartphones supporting AR Core or iOS devices supporting AR Kit under the name Live View. This way, it can be used on iPhone 6s or later, iPad Pro, and iPad 5th generation or later.
Meanwhile, Google made podcasts available for each episode to be searched through Google search. Textualized podcasts help you search by sentence. Google has been pursuing textualization of podcasts from before, and it is already able to search more than 2 million episodes. However, it is said that in the future, it will be able to search content on other platforms besides Google Cast. Related information can be found here .
