MS mark security software is coming out for Android and iOS

Microsoft announced on February 20 (local time) that its enterprise endpoint security service, Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), will be available for Android and iOS.

Both Android and iOS stores have their own malware countermeasures, increasing safety. However, in addition to storage distribution, problems such as the penetration of malicious code through application programs can occur at any time. Microsoft’s vice president Rob Lefferts points out that Android and iOS are pretty secure, but being pretty complete doesn’t mean it’s safe.

According to him, the Defender software on Android and iOS is for security, not management, and is designed to prevent access to sites that Microsoft considers unsafe. This can help companies prevent employees from being phished.

Defender was originally a standard feature in Windows 10, but in 2019 it announced extensions for Chrome and Firefox. Later, it was also available on the Mac. At this time, the name Windows Defender was changed to Microsoft Defender. It is gradually becoming multi-platform with the announcement of Linux support. The release schedule for Android and iOS has not been disclosed, but it could be popular as a multi-platform integrated security measure. Related information can be found here .
