The Chinese factory of Foxconn, the largest iPhone production base, was closed due to corona19 infection and resumed sequentially from early February. However, in factories where large numbers of people work together, there may be concerns about recurrence of infection.
To reduce the risk of such a recurrence, Foxconn’s Chinese factory teamed up 20 workers to track their health. It also provides face masks to employees at the Foxconn plant and regularly checks their body temperature. An infrared camera is placed to check the body temperature of a walking person, and if necessary, a nucleic acid test and a chest X-ray are performed. It is also said to be manufacturing 10 million medical masks for employees.
During lunchtime, Foxconn employees eat at the dining table separated from each other by high partitions. By placing QR codes for workers to scan on the seats, Foxconn can also record who ate when and where. In addition, disinfectant supplies are placed in designated locations on the jackets and bags of employees who sleep in the dormitory.
The Chinese government mandates employers to check employee temperature, provide face masks, and submit daily reports on employee health. Related information can be found here .
