Adidas face shield made with 3D printer

Adidas has started manufacturing face shields made of 3D printers in cooperation with Silicon Valley 3D printing manufacturer Carbon, amid a lack of medical supplies due to the spread of Corona 19 infection.

This product uses the same polyurethane elastomer material that is also used in Adidas ALPHAEDGE 4D. It is the application of advanced shoe technology to the face shield. If you look at the product video released by Carbon, the face shield is visible after about 20 seconds. It features an intertwined lattice structure.

Face shields made of polyurethane elastomer have excellent elasticity and can be disinfected and reused. These face shields can be produced over 50,000 per week. Carbon is also releasing 3D printing data. Nike also uses air consoles to make medical face shields. Related information can be found here .
