On May 19th (local time), Google announced that it will provide a function that allows users to easily share with a specific person about the sharing function in the Google Photo Album and also chat about the album.
This feature was added to photo or video sharing in December 2019, and it was extended to albums. In a shared album, other users can add or designate photos or videos, and if you remove a partner, the photos added by that person are also deleted from the album.
Until now, when sharing an album, it was possible to create a link and share it with Lee Meng-il, or through a Google account with a specific person. However, in the future, sharing through Google account will be the default. Of course, we continue to support sharing via link for sharing with people who don’t have a Google account.
When Google announced a new feature in December, it said that there is no replacement with the existing chat app, but it can be said that it has strengthened communication with family and friends in remote locations by being able to chat while viewing photos and not being able to start other applications. In fact, after the Corona 19 epidemic, photo sharing by Google Photos increased by 50% in some regions. Related information can be found here .
