Death sentence lowered with video conference zoom

With the spread of Corona 19, more and more places are sentenced to judgment orders as zoom, a video conferencing solution. The world’s first zoom death sentence was held in Lagos, Nigeria on May 4th. At state order, the defendant (Olalekan Hameed), accused of murdering his mother’s employer, with attendees watching from another location, participated in jail at strict guard. Judge Mojisola Dada sentenced to hanging.

On May 20th, news of the death penalty was heard in Singapore. The defendant (Punithan Genasan) was held in prison and a trial was held in which the prosecutor and the judge participated in different places. The crime was inviting two transporters in October 2011 and ordering to smuggle 28.5g heroin. Crimes that are executed in Singapore include anti-government guerrillas, murder, kidnapping, robbery, and possession of firearms, but drug smuggling accounts for most of the death sentences. The death penalty is also surprising because of drug trafficking, but the amount of 28.5g is even more surprising. In the United States, it is over 100g and is at least 5 years old, so I am surprised. However, in Singapore, people found heroin in a borrowed car are also executed. It is said that the amount of heroin at the time was 22.24g.

Anyway, due to the Corona 19 incident, the Zum trial is spreading all over the world. In the United States, it was heard that actress Lori Lourin admitted to her daughter’s fraudulent admission at the Zum Tribunal.
