Discord recently released an update for desktop, web browser and iOS, allowing video calls to be made at the push of a button while on the server and all Discord channels. Discord has been equipped with video chat features since 2017, but previously it was necessary to create a specific chat group for each call.
In other words, through this update, you can video chat at the touch of a button. There’s no need to add groups and you can share gameplay on your webcam and Go Live at the same time, making it simple to show your face while streaming what’s on your PC.
Discord explained that the improvement of the video chat function was the result of prioritizing the server video function due to the spread of Corona 19 infection. In addition to the new video features, MacOS Safari officially supports Discord, eliminating the need to install standard desktop applications. In Chrome, we improved the video chat quality of the Discord web application, and there was no need to download the Chrome extension plugin for Discord.
Discord’s purpose is to keep gamers connected. With such an update, it can be said that it has laid the foundation for excellent communication services for both gamers and non-gamers. Related information can be found here .
