Eco-friendly smart watch that dissolves in water

A research team at Tianjin University in China succeeded in developing an eco-friendly smart watch prototype using parts that dissolve in water after use and published a research paper in the journal ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces. According to this, if you keep soaking it in water for 40 hours, all but some screen materials and parts such as the microcontroller will dissolve in the water and disappear.

The prototype was completed by manufacturing various circuit boards, including a new material that added silver nanowires to increase conductivity to a zinc-based nanocomposite material, and finishing the body with a water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol synthetic resin material.

Of course, in terms of design, it needs to be more sophisticated, but the function is substantial. It is said that it can receive various alarms from the paired smartphone body, and can measure heart rate, steps, and even blood oxygen concentration. Related information can be found here.

I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
