Intel has announced Intel Arc, a high-performance graphics brand for consumers. Intel has announced that it will release gaming graphics boards and GPUs for notebooks in the first quarter of 2022.
The Intel Arc, which was announced this time, is a brand used in several hardware generations, including the first generation, based on the codename Alchemist Xe-HPG (High Performance Graphics) microarchitecture. After the second generation, the microarchitecture codenames are called Battlemage, Celestial, and Druid.
For GPUs adopting the Alchemist architecture, which appeared in 2022, Intel has hardware-based ray tracing and AI-driven super-sampling functions. It is said that there is Kaplanan tweeted that Intel’s Arc CPU will fully support DirectX12 Ultimate, including mesh shading and high-performance ray tracing, and that high-performance super-sampling will be announced separately.
An important moment has come for the graphics brand that Intel launched a few years ago, and Intel will show its continued commitment to gamers and creators around the world, starting with the Intel Arc. He said he was making an effort.
According to reports, the graphics card with Alchemist architecture is manufactured using the TSMC process with 512 execution units and will be higher performance than Intel’s first discrete GPU-based graphics card, the Iris Xe DG1. Related information can be found here.
