Kitty Hawk, a flight taxi company, is led by former vice president of Google, Sebastian Thrun, a pioneer in the development of Google’s self-driving cars. Flyer, Kitty Hawk’s first flight taxi, recently announced that it has flew more than 25,000 flights. They continue to fly using prototypes that resemble flying motorcycles or ATVs, and are preparing to add more sophisticated cockpits and designs.
There are two flight taxis that Kitty Hawk intends to develop. In addition to the flyer, there is Cora, a two-seater self-driving taxi jointly developed with Boeing. The flyer is a single-seater aircraft mainly focused on entertainment. According to Kitty Hawk, it is designed so that even first-timers can control it in 15 minutes. Kitty Hawk is currently recruiting aviation partners through the community. It targets the purpose of travel or the introduction of a resort.
