British railroad-only solar farm

Some of the railroads managed by Network Rail in the UK are the first in the world to use electricity produced by railroad-only solar farms. This solar power plantation was installed in Hampshire, about 60 kilometers southwest of London. 100 solar panels use the power generated to run the train. The project may be a pioneer in the future of solar power for British railroads.

Network Rail plans to expand the power supply using solar power if this project is successful. The British government aims to abolish diesel locomotives by 2040. Of course, the UK is not the first country to supply solar power for railroads. In India, solar panels are installed on the roofs of more than 250 vehicles, and trains are already running. India is planning to install a solar farm next to the track and have a complete clean energy rail network within 10 years. Related information can be found here .

I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
