Bugatti chiron, which can reach speeds of 400 km/h or more, recorded a speed of 490.48 km/h on the test course. This figure exceeds the world’s fastest speed of 447km/h by commercial vehicles recorded in 2017. It is named as the first vehicle that has exceeded 300 miles per hour, which has not been exceeded by commercial vehicles so far.
This record was left on the Ehra-Lessien track, which the Volkswagen Group uses as a test course. Andy Wallace, a pro racer, grabs the steering wheel. If you look at the video, you can see the Bugatti Chiron reaching 300 miles per hour, that is, 482.8kn/h. In the end, the top speed is 490.48km/h.
The world’s highest record among commercial vehicles was 447km/h, averaged 2 times in 2017, and 458km/h based on the highest speed. This record exceeds that much. Of course, the Bugatti Chiron, which took on this challenge, was carried out in a state where the engineer replaced the rear wing and the new aero parts separated from the air brake, which was about 10 cm longer than the original. The passenger seat was also separated and a computer system was installed for challenge.
Because of this, Top Gear did not express that it had hit the record for the highest speed on the market. Related information can be found here .
