Amazon and Lego announced that they will be holding a mobile robot contest to control Lego’s Mintstorm set using the Alexa Gadgets Toolkit.
The LEGO Mindstorm Set is a kit that assembles a robot using LEGO blocks and intelligent blocks for electronic control. You can program yourself and move the robot freely. In this competition, the robot is moved by voice control using the Alexa gadget toolkit on intelligent blocks. For example, if you ordered to fire a rocket, Alexa instructs the robot to fire the rocket.
The application deadline is December 31st, and applicants must register on the official website. Video and code describing the movement of the work must be submitted by the deadline. If selected for the Grand Prize, they will receive a $20,000 Amazon Gift Card and a tour of the LEGO headquarters in Denmark. The five finalists will be awarded a $10,000 Amazon gift card. The first 100 first-come, first-served, other early submissions will receive an Amazon gift card worth $150. Related information can be found here .
