LAFD, the Los Angeles Fire Department in the United States, purchases the first electric fire engine in North America and will introduce it in 2021 This fire engine is based on the Concept Fire Truck (CFT) announced by Austrian fire engine manufacturer Rosenbauer.

CFT supports two hours of work with two 100kWh batteries. A diesel generator is also installed in case the combustion continues and additional power is required. The vehicle itself costs $6 million. LAFD said it would evaluate the actual fire in case of a fire, and if the vehicle is delivered in 2021, it is expected to be put into the field immediately. Related information can be found here .
