Uber enters the vehicle advertising market

Uber announced that it has formed Uber OOH Powered by Adomni, an advertising business in partnership with proptech company Adomni.

As part of the advertising business, Uber is planning to place advertisements on the roof of the shared vehicle, and tests will be conducted from April 1st. Test areas are Atlanta, Dallas and Phoenix, Georgia, where more than 1,000 vehicles are tested.

Local drivers are paid the first $300 to install a digital signage displaying advertisements. They also drive 20 hours a week or more during the test period and get $100. The digital signage mounted on the roof of the vehicle displays video and 8-second still image advertisements, and you can apply to Uber OOH to place advertisements.

The service of displaying advertisements on the roof of shared vehicles has already been implemented by Firefly since 2018. Uber drivers are also installing advertisement displays by contracting with Firefly at their own discretion. Firefly allows drivers who drive at least 40 hours a week to earn an average of $300 extra income per month. For Uber, it costs $100 for over 20 hours per week. From the driver’s point of view, it can be said that the range of choices has been expanded. Of course, there are regulations that you should not use third-party services, so once you choose, you must use the service. Related information can be found here .

I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
