Google Translate adds a new language in 4 years

On February 26th (local time), Google added a new language to Google Translate, a translation service.

This time, we added 5 Uighur, Turkmen, Rwanda, Tatar and Oriya languages. It has been 4 years since 2016 that a new language has been added. Now we can translate all 108 languages. It also supports virtual keyboard input for Uighur, Rwanda, and Tatar content.

According to Google, Google Translate has been unable to cover languages with few translation examples so far in order to improve learning ability in existing translation services. The addition of a new language this time is due to improved learning ability and the contribution of the community to improve the quality of Google translation.

One of the newly added languages is Uighur, and the main speakers of this language are from southern China’s Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region. Unfortunately, it may be difficult for Uighur Boroughs to use Google Translate, as the use of Google is limited in China. Related information can be found here .

I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
