Starbucks announced on February 26 (local time) that Starbucks coffee and artificial meat sandwiches will be sold in stores across Canada.
The sandwich provided this time is made of artificial vegetable meat made by Beyond Meat, sandwiched with sausage, cheddar cheese, and eggs. It is explained that even though no meat is used, the texture is similar to that of real meat. The release starts on March 2nd (local time).
Recently, major fast food chains are actively promoting the introduction of vegetarian food. Burger King offers hamburgers using alternative beef, and KFC offers fried chicken using artificial meat. Starbucks is also actively introducing vegetarian products. If this attempt is successful, it could be offered in stores outside of Canada. Related information can be found here .
