Solar panels that make drinking water with only sunlight and air

SOURCE Hydropanels is a smart solar panel developed by US startup ZERO MASS Water that can make men’s beverage in sunlight and air. Water vapor is condensed by photovoltaic power generation and ozone-treated to generate an average of 4 to 10 liters of water per day. Through the app, you can manage the amount of water, filter replacement time, and abnormality.

According to the company, in dry weather, it can produce an average of 4 liters or more and up to 10 liters per day, which means that it can make drinking water equivalent to 8 to 20 500 ml bottles. There is also a 30-liter storage tank on the panel, and the water dispenser can be left indoors.

Water generation will depend on the humidity and the weather at the installation site, but in Arizona, where the company is located, it is said that it can generate enough water on land. It is explained that water is safe even in contaminated air by collecting only pure water molecules through a filter and meeting the US Environmental Protection Agency’s USEPA standards.

This product can supply drinking water through panels as long as there is atmosphere. However, since it enters the standby mode when the outside temperature is below zero, it must be installed in cold climates that do not become below zero. The product has already been installed in 139 locations in 35 countries, including Aboriginal communities, African schools, Dubai desert, and Kentucky poor living areas.

The product starts selling in the summer at $5,500, including shipping, installation and tax. Related information can be found here .
