Bosch begins mass production of two-segment displays for motorcycles

BOSCH has started mass production of full digital TFT-LCD screens with two-segment displays for motorcycles. Vehicle information set on a screen such as an instrument panel and navigation running on a smartphone are displayed on half the screen.

The 10.25-inch display uses mySPIN, a dedicated app that illuminates the smartphone screen. This display will be installed on BMW bikes, and Ducati and Kawasaki are also planning to introduce MySpin. The smartphone screen appears in a form optimized for the display, and all functions can be operated with the steering wheel controller.

According to Bosch, nearly 90% of users are using their smartphones to travel by motorcycle or to check directions. Among them, one-third of them are running dangerously, such as watching a smartphone. However, with a two-segment display, you can safely check information without having to do dangerous things to touch your smartphone while driving. Related information can be found here .

I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
