Thinking as a digital command… NextMind BCI Development Kit

NextMind, which develops BCI (Brain-machine Interface) that converts visual cortical information into digital commands, has begun shipping development kits. The price is 399 dollars.

NextMind is based in Paris as a startup related to neural interfaces using machine learning algorithms that are increasing recently. The original development kit was scheduled to be released in the second quarter of 2020, but there was a delay for the Corona 19 epidemic. According to CEO Sid Kouider, the start of production was three to four months late, but the impact was no longer spreading. The first 1,000 units will be produced in November 2020, and 1,000 units will be produced in December.

Looking at the video, if you think of shooting at an enemy while playing a game, the command is sent through NextMind, or if you think that the nearby light is too bright after watching TV, the light may be dark. The NextMind Development Kit includes an adjustable headband, a NextMind Sensor, and a NextMind Engine consisting of real-time machine learning algorithms that convert neural signals into commands. It provides NextMind SDK to developers, and provides Unity resources that directly use instructions and game code building blocks. Related information can be found here .

I am curious about this market that is still full of vitality.
